Vivian Maier’s negatives (hundreds of thousands of them) were discovered in boxes after her death. And they are beautiful.
She would’ve had a very different life had she shared her art earlier. Maybe that wasn’t what she wanted. Keeping it all to herself begs the question: Did she know how remarkable she was?
She traveled alone (which I highly recommend) around the world in 1959.
